This is not your standard 9-5, Monday-Friday environment. We operate 7 days a week, around the global clock to capture real time data. Your hours will meet the needs of live racing events. This won’t phase you, because you enjoy the flexibility and variety this role and industry offers.
We are currently looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team, primarily for evening shifts running from approximately 4 PM to 10 or 11 PM.
Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of two evening shifts per week. While we operate every day of the week, priority will be given to those available on Thursdays, Fridays, weekends (Saturday or Sunday), and public holidays.

The thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound racing industry may not be one that you are familiar with, but you’ll certainly be driven to learning everything there is to know about it.
The role
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, and working closely with managers and CEOs, and saddlecloth and GPS handlers, from each racetrack, here are the key responsibilities for this role:
- The set-up and capture of real time race data via our inhouse tracking technology
- Be familiar and contribute to the contractual SLAs, outputs, and deliverables of each racing jurisdiction
- Deliver on your individual KPIs
- Using remote tools and diagnostic utilities, troubleshoot race day incidents as they occur, with the understanding that the data capture of every single horse and greyhound is critical
- Analyse trends to prevent re-occurring issues and identify improvements
- Communicate all data capture issues in real time to the operations lead, and capture in Jira software
- Collate end-of-day race reports daily
- Ensure data capture process changes and improvements are communicated to the operations lead
- Assist with maintenance and software updates as required
Game changers
You would have a significant edge for this role if you were:
- You have completed vocational training as a bachelor or higher and have at least 2 years of professional experience.
- From a sporting operations industry and have experience working with real time sports data capture
- Familiar with how technology systems integrate and work together
- Proficient with the suite of Microsoft Office products
