About the role:
- Facilitate, lead and contribute achievement of safety and environmental performance targets
- Actively promote safe behaviour within the team and manage safety at the worksite
- Implement strategies to minimise the risk of safety incidents
- Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specifications as required
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and develop new work practices
- Responsible for taking team out to the worksite and completing scheduled tasks
- Ensure the team is completing required tasks safely and on time
- Report on work performed to supervisors
- Travel across network as required to support other teams during system closures
- Very hands on role, knowledge and experience in the rail industry is essential
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in the Rail Industry Experience & Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (Essential)
- Current Drivers Licence – MR Class or above (Essential)
- Machine tickets Bobcat, Excavator or Loader (highly regarded)
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to lead diverse workgroups
- Extensive knowledge of track maintenance, inspection standards, systems and processes
