What is a typical workday?
Join Dragonfly as our Recruitment Officer and make an impactful contribution to building a high-performing contractor network that powers our delivery operations. In this newly created role, you’ll have the opportunity help shape sourcing strategies, strengthen partnerships, and driving workforce growth. With a clear path for development, you’ll grow alongside the business and help fuel our future success.
About Dragonfly:
Dragonfly stands for a different way of doing e-commerce delivery in Australia. Drawing on over three decades of experience as a market leader in Canada, Dragonfly is a new subsidiary that is hitting the ground running. Using the latest technologies and the right people ensures greater efficiencies, better results, and a superior customer experience.
At Dragonfly, it’s the littlest details that make the difference. We are a fast-paced company with a firm grip on market growth. We boast an agile working environment and do not shy away from challenges. Every member of our team is on the ground to guarantee on-time deliveries to doorsteps all around Australia.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Recruitment Officer to join our Operations team and help grow a dependable network of Independent Delivery Contractors (IDCs) across key regions. You will collaborate closely with the internal IDC team to ensure we attract, engage, and onboard contractors who align with our standards and values.
In this role, you’ll conduct the end-to-end contractor sourcing process, maintaining a healthy pipeline, facilitating onboarding, and ensuring all compliance and insurance requirements are met.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with the broader Operations and Business Development teams to ensure contractor engagement supports delivery targets, regional needs, and safety standards. Your work will play a key role in service coverage, operational growth, and contractor retention, supporting a delivery network that’s reliable, flexible, and built for scale.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Source, attract, and engage Independent Delivery Contractors (IDCs) in line with business needs and regional volume demand.
  • Maintain a consistent contractor pipeline through proactive outreach, targeted attraction strategies, and community engagement.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end onboarding process, including documentation, compliance checks, insurance verification, and system setup.
  • Streamline recruitment and onboarding processes to improve efficiency, contractor experience, and time-to-activation.
  • Maintain a customer-focused mindset in all interactions, delivering clear communication and positive experiences for contractors.
  • Collaborate with the IDC Lead and IDC Specialist to monitor regional coverage gaps and prioritise recruitment activity accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to contractor sourcing, onboarding status, and workforce capacity.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of sourcing strategies, onboarding workflows, and engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in recruitment ideally within transport, logistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of onboarding and compliance practices.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
Why Join Dragonfly Shipping?
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Enjoy a hybrid working environment.
  • Dynamic team-oriented, supportive environment.
  • Comprehensive training available to support your continuous growth and development.
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact and be a part of a rapidly growing Company.
Drive growth, fuel connections, and recruit the contractors that keep deliveries moving every day!
Sending packages should be simple.
