Within the Victorian Chamber, the Committee for Melbourne (CfM) focuses on large corporations and organisations in Victoria. It brings together influential companies, business leaders, key influencers and political leaders with a specialised membership program for their needs.
About the role
This role is responsible for partnering with our Committee for Melbourne member organisations to deliver value, satisfaction and highly effective account management. This role will also assist and grow Victorian Chamber service delivery into their portfolio of CfM members.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Developing effective relationships with a range of key senior stakeholders
- Creating tailored and detailed account plans, and demonstrating the value of our member proposition
- Identifying member’s needs and effectively linking with Victorian Chamber products, services and people
- Pro-actively following up leads and referrals
- Creating tailored introductions for members
- Positively engaging with members to ensure they are retained as members and continue to use our products and services
- Being an effective primary point of contact and ambassador for the Chamber
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to quickly gain expert knowledge of our members, and of Victorian Chamber products, services and people. You will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an account management and/or sales role
- High level engagement, networking, presentation, sales and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key accounts, and liaise with all levels of management
- Driven, customer-focused and results-oriented
- Commercially astute with the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities and meet targets
A well-rounded knowledge of Victorian business, government and bureaucracy, along with established networks within the business community will be highly regarded, however candidates meeting the above selection criteria are encouraged to apply.
