Our Perth site plays a vital role in the production and distribution of our products, and we are looking for an experienced Reliability & Engineering Manager to help lead the next phase of operational excellence.
The Role
This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the site’s maintenance and engineering functions to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our production environment. Reporting to the General Manager of the site, you'll lead a high-performing team of engineers and tradespeople while driving process improvements, minimising downtime, and supporting capital project delivery. Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance and engineering team to meet safety, quality, and productivity KPIs
- Manage end-to-end engineering projects, including design input, cost control, and timely execution
- Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards
- Drive continuous improvement and preventative maintenance initiatives
- Manage external contractors and ensure compliance with OH&S and HACCP standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance, compliance, and capital works
- Foster collaboration across departments to support business goals and reduce downtime
- Support and contribute to our site-wide Food Safety Culture Plan
- Other ad hoc duties as per directed
To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in food or FMCG manufacturing. You’re passionate about safety, operational efficiency, and leading people to achieve exceptional results. You bring a mix of technical know-how, strategic thinking, and hands-on leadership. You will have the following;
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or related discipline)
- 5+ years’ experience in project engineering/management within manufacturing
- Supervisory or management experience within a production or maintenance team
- Strong knowledge of WHS, HACCP, and food safety compliance
- Proven experience managing capital projects and contractor relationships
- Experience implementing preventative maintenance and continuous improvement programs
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience (desirable)
