About the role
As Resource Manager, you will be the central point of contact for consultant staffing across APAC. In this relationship-driven role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership, finance, HR, consultants and project managers to ensure we’re allocating the right people to the right work — balancing client needs with individual development plans and career aspirations.
You’ll also drive insight and reporting to help optimise utilisation, improve project profitability, and inform resourcing decisions across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage resourcing for sold projects, proposals and pipeline work, align staffing with fee sheets, capability needs, and team dynamics.
- Align staffing with development goals, support team growth through meaningful and stretching project allocations.
- Manage allocation of internal task assignments based on availability.
- Report forecasted and actual utilisation to senior leadership and generate insights.
- Track and report on project profitability, compare planned vs. actual based on fee sheets, time entries and revenue.
- Become a NetSuite ‘super-user’ for resource management, ensure data accuracy for allocations and updates.
- Capture and collate client feedback and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) from completed projects.
This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
About you
You’re highly organised, people-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly. You balance empathy with business logic and enjoy solving complex resource puzzles.
- Experience in resource management, workforce planning, or project operations, ideally in consulting or professional services.
- Strong understanding of team capabilities, roles, and how to align people with work to support both business and individual goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset, skilled at spotting trends, surfacing insights, and building actionable reports.
- Confident using or learning tools/systems like NetSuite, HubSpot, Excel.
- A proactive, structured approach, you stay on top of multiple moving parts and respond quickly to new requirements.
