Job Description
The Restaurant Host plays a pivotal role in curating an exceptional guest experience across the dining venue. This position ensures seamless management of guest reservations, welcomes and seats guests with grace, and upholds the highest standards of personalised service. The role involves crafting a warm, inviting atmosphere, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and ensuring an elevated, memorable experience at every touchpoint.
In this role, you will:
Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive and personalised first impression.
Handle all reservation requests via phone, in person, email, and online platforms while managing booking systems efficiently.
Coordinate with venue managers to optimise table allocation, seating arrangements, and confirm reservations.
Maintain and manage wait lists during peak hours, providing accurate wait times to guests.
Ensure the entrance area and host station are clean, organised and presentable at all times.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have:
Minimum 2 years hospitality experience in a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, pre-opening environment, adapting to evolving needs and challenges.
Experience with POS and reservation systems such as SevenRooms and Micros Simphony is highly advantageous.
Able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willing to obtain one.
