We are seeking an experienced and strategic Return to Work (RTW) Manager to lead our national injury management and return-to-work programs across Australia. This role will give you the opportunity to opportunity to lead nationally impactful RTW outcomes in a values-driven organisation.

About the Role:

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Return to Work (RTW) Manager based in Rhodes NSW, to lead our national injury management and return-to-work function. This role reports to an inspiring and supportive National Safety Manager.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing end-to-end injury management processes, ensuring compliance across all states, and supporting safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes for our people. With a strong commercial mindset, you’ll also manage insurance relationships and workers’ compensation premiums to deliver efficient, people-focused results.

Primary areas of responsibility and accountability include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage end-to-end national workers’ compensation, injury management, and RTW programs in line with state legislation
    • Lead insurance and premium management, including provider negotiations and strategic oversight
    • Analyse claims data and trends to identify improvement and cost-control opportunities
    • Drive early intervention and best-practice RTW programs to support recovery and resilience
    • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders including insurers, legal advisors, rehab providers, and regulators
    • Champion a culture of safety, empathy, and wellbeing across the business

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in an injury management or return to work role, ideally in a large national business
  • In-depth knowledge of workers’ compensation and RTW legislation across Australian states
  • Demonstrated success in managing insurance and premium costs strategically
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong passion for supporting employee wellbeing and psychological safety
  • Relevant qualifications in injury management and return-to-work
