Each day, you will play a crucial role billing and credit risks from identifications to resolution. Reporting to the Billing and Credit Governance and Compliance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Evaluate the nature of the risk from likelihood, any sensitivity, impact scope, any interim remediation work in place, with prioritisation allocation using the Optus risk matrix.
Identify business ownership and confirm acceptance, with stakeholder management and support remediation activities with various B&C business units.
Maintain the B&C Risk Register and attend monthly change / risk business meetings.
Prepare risk reports for senior management and collate closure documentation before any risk is closed.
Work with the Risk Group to reflect B&C risks and maintain accountability across the organization, and lead B&C risk workshops to collaborate and align risk resolution across the organisation.
Additionally, you will manage regulatory notice responses, maintain strong version control, and leverage instructional guides. Your role will involve engaging with regulatory bodies like ACCC, OAIC, ACMA, and TIO to address systemics identified.
In this position, your primary responsibility will involve handling internal risks or non-compliance. Additionally, you will serve as the support on risk remediation activity for reporting financial impacts to the executive committee, covering credit adjustments, refunds, write-off reversals, and debt buybacks.

Demonstrate proven experience in credit risk management and remediation.
Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
Successfully implement clear recommendations for preventative measures to reduce incidents.
Engage strongly with Group Risk, Billing and Credit business units and across the Optus business – Product, Regulatory, Legal, Customer Success
As the custodian of all policies related to Billing and Credit, you will:
Perform annual audits and compliance of Billing and Credit policies such as the ID and Activation Policy, Consolidated Credit Management Policy, and Financial Hardship Policy.
Link Billing and Credit SOP’s and Controls to the applicable policies.
Maintain a central library of audits and assessments
Record all policy non-compliance items within the Risk register
