Job Description

As Rooms Division Manager at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, you’ll lead our Housekeeping, Front Office, and Activities teams, drive day-to-day excellence, and deliver the kind of guest experience that keeps people coming back. This is your chance to step into a pivotal leadership role at a vibrant, full-service resort where no two days are the same.

You'll play a key role in shaping both the guest experience and the performance of your teams — making informed decisions, leading with clarity, and ensuring consistent delivery across service, staffing, and operations. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-standard environment where your impact will be both visible and valued.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and optimise Housekeeping, Front Office, and Activities operations for outstanding guest service and efficiency
  • Build a strong, motivated team culture through clear communication and hands-on leadership
  • Develop strategies to grow revenue, manage costs, and meet financial targets
  • Turn guest feedback into action to enhance satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage budgets, performance reports, and KPIs with precision
  • Oversee vendor relationships to ensure service delivery and compliance
  • Maintain high standards in cleanliness, hygiene, and brand consistency
  • Solve challenges proactively and drive continuous improvement across departments

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Hotel or Tourism Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in both Housekeeping and Front Office operations.
  • Strong technical proficiency, with expertise in Opera Cloud and HubOS considered a plus.
  • Solid business acumen, with the ability to make sound decisions and assess commercial implications, alongside experience in forecasting, budgeting, and Revenue Management.
  • A creative problem-solver dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Proven success in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to plan for the long term.
