About the role
The Rostering Systems Governance Lead will manage and lead the Roster Support Centre function within West Moreton Health (WMH) to drive and embed efficient practices, process innovation, and continuous improvement solutions to achieve best practice rostering services.
Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders across WMH about the application of legislation, awards, and agreements through best practice rostering; evaluation of rosters through data complication, audits, and reporting; and compliance through the delivery of a rostering governance framework.
This role requires knowledge of the Queensland Health employment framework and advanced knowledge in award interpretation, skills in analysing roster and payroll data, performing quality audits and reviewing models/work practices and rostering processes; and the ability to effectively engage, liaise, and consult with stakeholders across and external to WMH.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated ability in the coordination and management of a service to ensure provision of quality customer services within a complex and diverse environment.
High-level knowledge and skills in relevant human resource information systems that diretly relate to rostering and managing time and attendance.
High level knowledge and skills in the area of relevant legislation, directives, policies, standards, systems, and procedures applicable to rostering activities in a large organisation, and the ability to apply such knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative, productive relationships within a health environment and with stakeholders across a range of leadership levels and disciplines.
High level oral and written communication skills, problem solving/analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills including consultation, facilitation, and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to undertake work of a complex nature with limited direction and ability to identify and analyse problems, and develop and implement remedial strategies, exercising initiative within the scope of your role.
Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.
