This role joins the Copeland Australia team, and will drive account growth and new business across ANZ, blending technical refrigeration expertise with strong commercial acumen. This role will require customer relationship management, regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional coordination aligned to sustainability trends.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Managing and Growing Key Accounts Across ANZ
- Maintain relationships with existing customers (contractors, wholesalers, OEMs, supermarkets, cold storage operators).
- Understand regional needs and tailor solutions accordingly (e.g. adapting to Australia’s climate zones or New Zealand’s regulatory preferences).
- Ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction through regular engagement.
2. Driving New Business Development
- Identify and approach new customers or market segments (e.g. emerging sustainability-focused projects or regional expansion opportunities).
- Leverage industry networks, trade shows, and technical presentations to generate leads.
- Understand ANZ-specific market trends such as natural refrigerants (CO₂, R290) and green building initiatives.
3. Delivering Technical and Commercial Proposals
- Prepare and present technical solutions , including equipment sizing, product specifications, and integration advice.
- Provide accurate quotations , negotiate pricing, and manage the commercial terms in line with ANZ compliance and logistics.
- Stay informed on refrigeration standards and codes specific to Australia (e.g. AS/NZS 5149) and New Zealand.
4. Forecasting, Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, and competitor activity across both countries.
- Submit accurate monthly forecasts and reports to regional leadership.
- Track government policies or sustainability regulations (e.g. HFC phase-down under the Kigali Amendment, energy efficiency programs).
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with supply chain, customer service, and technical support teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and after-sales support.
- Coordinate with marketing to tailor product promotions and campaigns for local needs.
- Act as the voice of the customer for ANZ back to global or regional product and strategy teams.
Role Requirements
- Strong sales and account management experience in ANZ HVAC-R or industrial solutions sector.
- Technical fluency in refrigeration/commercial cooling products, standards, and codes (AS/NZS 5149).
- Commercial acumen: pricing, negotiation, compliance, and logistics management.
- Market knowledge: sustainability trends, natural refrigerants (CO₂, R290), green building initiatives.
- Analytical skills for forecasting, reporting, competitor tracking.
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence across local/global teams.
- Relationship-building, customer retention, and communication skills. Comfort with travel across Australia & New Zealand.
