Job Description
As a Sample Preparer, based in Pilgangoora (FIFO out of Perth) on a 8/6 then 7/7 days and nights roster, you will be responsible for sorting and preparing samples for analysis, while following the established quality control procedures for correct sorting and preparation processes.
Other responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Responsible for unloading, loading, sorting and weighing of samples onto drying racks while maintaining numerical order.
- Reconcile samples delivered with the supplied sample submission form listing extras and those not received onto the sample sorting sheet (iso sheet).
- Responsible for milling samples and transferring sub-samples to sample packets while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures and avoiding contamination.
Qualifications
- Qualifications and experience whilst desirable are not essential.
- Forklift license (desirable).
- WA C Class Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Organisation and efficiency
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Good grasp of numbering and ordering and be able to retain information.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
