The Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist to provide critical services embedded to a prominent operational client. This position requires exceptional expertise in delivering secure solutions within complex environments, working closely with executive stakeholders and industry partners.
As the security specialist, you will provide advice in the design, implementation and assurance of security outcomes, ensuring compliance with the highest standards. You will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive assets, advising on risk and governance, and delivering on security initiatives that directly support national interests.
You will be responsible for
- Monitoring and oversight of the functional running of the client’s secure facility.
- Ensuring work is compliant with relevant security policies and frameworks such as the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Contributing to relevant parts of the client’s Corporate Security Program.

The candidate will possess:
- Comprehensive security knowledge, enabling them to integrate complex considerations and recommended solutions, providing guidance that helps shape organisational direction and high-level security policy.
- In-depth knowledge of physical security and secure zones, particularly their governance and management requirements.
- A strong understanding and familiarity with Physical Secure Zone regulatory bodies for certification and accreditation.
- Demonstrated understanding of personnel security policies, including clearance requirements.
- Proven ability to provide specialist security advice within a corporate setting.
- Demonstrated capability in preparing advice and documentation, assessments, and reports that meet strict regulatory requirements.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
- A commitment to professional standards, discretion, and supporting the reputation and trust of the organisation.
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.
- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Hold a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in managing security classified information, personnel and secure facilities.
- Previous experience working in or directly to a government agency, military, security or intelligence.
- COMSO Qualified.
- ADF Security Officer Qualified.
- Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC).
