About us
headspace offers a ‘one stop shop’ for young people aged 12 -25 and their families who may be experiencing mental health challenges. Providing an opportunity for young people to receive help early and promote a 'no wrong door' approach to supporting young people and their families through the provision of GPs, counsellors, Alcohol & other Drug workers and Vocational and Educational support.
Alfred Health is the lead agency for this program and offers the opportunity to work in a growing dynamic healthcare environment.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Access Clinician, you will work as a member of the Access team to deliver a range of tasks including working as Access clinician, offering session-by-session therapy and Single Session Family therapy as required.
The position requires experience in the diagnosis and provision of assessment and intervention with young people, including experience of trauma, mental health issues, educational/ vocational and social needs, alcohol and other drug issues.
About you
- Approved tertiary qualifications and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA or eligibility with AASW)
- Extensive skill and experience in engagement and assessment of adolescents and young people and their families including capacity to provide flexible outreach
- Appropriate work visa
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- Current Influenza vaccination
- Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
