We’re looking for a Senior Asset Investment Analyst / Engineer who thrives in a purpose-led environment — someone who brings both analytical thinking and emotional intelligence to help shape a future-focused asset investment strategy.
In this role, you’ll play an essential part in shaping and supporting a thoughtfully developed construction and maintenance program, ensuring our gas distribution network is efficient, resilient, and responsive to both technical needs and community expectations. You’ll work across the full asset lifecycle — from long-term planning to the delivery of customer-initiated and asset replacement works — with a keen awareness of the people, partnerships and possibilities involved.
Your contribution:
As a natural connector and thoughtful problem-solver, you’ll ensure the smooth, sustainable delivery of our asset works program by combining structured decision-making with people-first collaboration.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting program delivery through forecasting, governance and insightful reporting
- Guiding the asset investment process from project initiation through to completion
- Providing data visualisation and scenario analysis to empower informed, balanced decisions
- Ensuring all investments are aligned with our values of safety, sustainability and efficiency
- Working with care and precision to uphold strong governance practices

- Asset Management (including Planning, Capacity and Engineering Support)
- Customer & Commercial teams
- Finance
- Service Delivery Group
- Regulatory bodies and auditors
- Industry associations and partners
What you bring:
We’re looking for someone who combines sharp strategic insight with a warm, communicative approach. Your experience might include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Engineering or a related field
- A strong sense of business acumen grounded in real-world problem-solving
- Confidence using SAP and understanding core business processes
- Familiarity with project, portfolio and program management principles
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to pivot between autonomy and teamwork as needed
- Experience balancing competing priorities, while staying calm under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
