We’re looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and delivery of complex electronics systems.
As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll take ownership of end-to-end electronics development - from concept to schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and testing. Your work will directly support our cutting-edge systems, ensuring high reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.
Job Description
What you'll be doing:
- Design, simulate, prototype, and test electronic circuits and subassemblies.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
- Select and qualify electronic components to meet design and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans for lab and flight environments.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other test equipment.
- Liaise with contract manufacturers and suppliers on technical queries.
- Support compliance testing and flight-readiness reviews.
- Contribute to system architecture and guide improvements for future designs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- 6+ years of experience in board-level analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
- 3+ years using Altium Designer in commercial product development.
- Strong hands-on lab skills with common electronics diagnostic tools.
Beneficial:
- Experience with switch-mode power supply design.
- Familiarity with embedded firmware development.
- EMI troubleshooting and compliance test experience.
- High-speed and low-noise digital/analogue design for manufacturability.
- Rework and soldering of fine-pitch components.
- Understanding of mechanical integration and design trade-offs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic R&D environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering, or equivalent
