Job Description
As a Senior Lecturer- Clinical Psychology, you’ll use your experience and expertise to help tackle complex challenges in mental health, education, and community wellbeing. Here’s how you’ll make it matter:
- Lead and deliver innovative, evidence-based teaching and clinical supervision to shape the next generation of clinical psychologists.
- Conduct and publish impactful research, with opportunities to lead and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Build meaningful relationships with industry and community to enhance student employability and influence professional practice.
- Mentor early career academics and higher degree research (HDR) candidates, fostering a vibrant and supportive research culture.
- Contribute to program development and leadership, advancing excellence in psychology education and scholarship.
About You
What matters most is your drive to create a brighter future for all. You’ll thrive in a values-led, student-focused environment and inspire those around you. To be successful, you will have:
- A doctoral qualification in clinical psychology or a closely related field.
- Registration as a psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with an area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology.
- Qualified to provide supervision as per the requirements of the Psychology Board of Australia.
- A track record of high-quality research with evidence of impact and ability to attract research funding.
- Experience in academic leadership, including course coordination, curriculum development, and mentoring of colleagues and students.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based either at Griffith University Brisbane South or Gold Coast campuses. As Griffith is a multi-site University you will be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Senior Lecturer (CSL) range $138,702 - $159,936 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $162,281 - $187,125 per annum.
