Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
About the Role
As a Senior Platform Product Manager in PIE, you’ll be contributing to the evolution of Pilot — our internal platform powering experimentation, metrics, and feature understanding across Canva. Our mission is to redefine how product teams access, interpret and act on data, moving beyond dashboards to a world of intelligent, truly self-serve insights. While Pilot is an internal platform, we care deeply about user experience, building tools that are fast, intuitive, scalable, and genuinely delightful to use. This role combines systems thinking, user empathy and technical depth, with plenty of opportunity to lead 0 to 1 initiatives that lay the foundation for the future of product development at Canva.
Own and drive the roadmap for key programs of work for Pilot, with a focus on our emerging Metrics Platform and AI strategy.
Operate across multiple teams to move us towards our product vision that empowers Canva’s product teams to make data-informed decisions at scale.
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, designers and other PMs to build elegant, scalable systems that empower product teams with actionable insights, while ensuring cohesion across the unified platform.
Drive adoption and engagement of Pilot with a focus on product teams and leadership, embedding it in day-to-day ways of working and internal processes
Lead 0→1 product discovery and delivery — from shaping problem spaces and setting priorities, through to launch and iteration.
Balance technical depth and user empathy to ensure our platform is both powerful and a delight to use for our internal users.
Work closely with our internal users to continuously iterate on the platform, uncover new opportunities, and ensure we’re solving the highest-impact problems — guided by feedback, usage patterns, and product performance.
You're probably a match if
You’re a Senior Product Manager who sees the power of product insights — not just data — as a multiplier for great decision-making. You’ve built internal platforms or tooling before, and you know what it takes to make something technical feel magical to the teams who use it. You think in systems, not features, and believe deeply in building composable, reusable foundations that scale.
You thrive in 0→1 spaces, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and rally cross-functional teams around bold ideas. You've likely seen what good looks like in organisations with mature insights practices — and now, you’re excited to help Canva get to great. We’re at a pivotal moment for how AI can reshape self-serve insights, and in this role, you'll help shape the platform that world-class product teams across Canva use every single day.
About the team
We’re the Product Insights Enablement group — or PIE for short — and we’re on a mission to unlock smarter, faster product development at Canva. PIE owns "Pilot," our internal platform that brings together our in-house experimentation tooling, feature flags, metrics, and, most recently, a feature catalogue: a canonical view of every feature in Canva, with out-of-the-box metrics for product teams.
We’ve built a strong foundation of data and measurement over the years, but we’re at a point now where we’re not just here to deliver more data — we're here to unleash the next era of Canva’s product evolution. We’re building novel capabilities that combine qual and quant insights, lean into the power of AI, and empower teams to make more confident, impactful product decisions. We’re a fast-growing group of FE/BE engineers, PMs, designers and data scientists/analytics engineers. And we’re excited to open up this role to help accelerate us towards this vision, and to co-create it.
