About the Opportunity
The Service Centre provides essential university services and support, ensuring an accessible experience for students and staff through a consistent and efficient service delivery model.
The Manager Security, Transport, and Logistics oversees security management, associated systems (including access control, intruder alarms, CCTV, and parking), and the administration of traffic, parking, and fleet management (including lease and pool vehicles). This integrated oversight supports campus operations and corporate activities.
They provide detailed advice on Corporate Services policies and collaborate to solve complex operational issues related to Security, Transport, and Logistics. The role is data-driven, focused on continuous improvement, and dedicated to building a high-performing, partnership-oriented team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for security, transport, parking, and logistics operations across all campuses
- Oversee emergency management planning and run emergency readiness exercises
- Coordinate critical incident responses, including lockdowns and liaison with emergency services
- Implement CPTED principles and manage access control, security audits, and risk assessments
- Partner with police, emergency services, and external agencies on security and safety issues
- Manage security services contracts and ensure vendor performance and compliance
- Oversee Opex/Capex budgets for parking and security, including infrastructure and contractor management
- Develop fleet management plans and advise on vehicle procurement and maintenance
- Ensure secure, efficient mail services across all campuses aligned with operational needs
About you
- The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Security Management, Fleet Management, Parking Management or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is a continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 10 Salary - $142,222.18 + 17% super. Full package - $166,399.96.
