Role Overview: As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of our heat pack products. Your responsibilities will include operating industrial sewing machines, measuring, cutting, sewing, and assisting in packing orders. This position requires a high level of precision and attention to detail to uphold our standards of quality and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to construct and repair heat pack products.
- Measure and cut materials accurately according to specifications.
- Sew materials together, following patterns, templates, or instructions.
- Assist in the kitting, picking, and packing of orders, ensuring products are ready for dispatch.
- Adhere to safe operating procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure efficient workflow.
- Meet production schedules and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Conduct quality control checks on own work to ensure high standards are maintained.
Skills, Experience, and Attributes:
- Proven experience with industrial sewing machines in a production environment.
- Consistently work to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail, quality, and workmanship.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures for industrial sewing equipment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production schedules and manage time efficiently.
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated, with the capability to work independently.
- A keen eye for quality control and the ability to monitor the quality of your own work.
