To assist with container sales in conjunction with the Container Sales Manager. To help control the truck flow through the depot and assisting in the accomplishment of operational objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Ø To ensure incoming and outgoing container movements are recorded accurately.
Ø Communicating depot procedures to all drivers to ensure safety for both equipment and drivers alike.
Ø Communicating with forklift drivers, workshop manager and surveyors to ensure client requirements are met at all times.
Ø Liaise with customers on stock levels and release requirements and other information as required.
Ø Handle all customer service enquiries.
Ø Issue induction booklet to visitors and contractor and ensure it is filled out prior to entering the depot.
Responsible for ensuring implementation of all relevant depot policies and procedures, in particular those relating to OH&S
Ø Arrange load and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner
Ø To communicate with forklift drivers, workshop and surveyors as required
Ø Enter release numbers/ wash lists/ PTI lists / status changes and repairs into container park system.
Ø Enter Completed repairs into Merc plus (client recording system)
Ø Filing and collating of depot paperwork / archive system
Ø Locate and arrange to make accessible; off-hires, sale, long-stay or any other boxes required by the customer.
Ø Other Duties as may be required from time to time by Operations Manager / Depot Manager
Ø Keep office and surrounding areas clean and tidy and take care of all equipment.
Ø Handle container sales enquiries by phone or in person.
Ø Ensure distribution of customer daily logs and EDI requirements.
Ø To have a thorough knowledge of in house container park operating system and Client estimate reporting system.
Ø Perform a full stock take of container park each year.
Ø Accurately update container status upon completion of work as required.
Ø Accurately enter estimates in client’s repair system.
Ø All other duties as required from time to time by the operations manager and/or depot manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in Container Park operations.
- Experience in forklift operation is also beneficial Current LF forklift license highly beneficial
- IICL Container inspector Certificate (preferable)
- AQIS Class 2.6 Inspectors Accreditation (preferable)
- Authorized Officer (AO) from DAFF highly regarded

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
