About the Role
We are seeking a Shutdown Scheduler to join our Amrun operations in Weipa. This residential role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of planned and preventative maintenance activities across our fixed plant assets.
As part of the Asset Planning & Scheduling team, you will contribute to the development and optimisation of maintenance schedules that support operational reliability and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and revise schedules for planned and preventative maintenance activities.
- Optimise maintenance schedules to improve cost efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are aligned with safety, environmental, and statutory obligations.
- Maintain and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to reflect accurate scheduling data.
- Collect and analyse work management data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with asset strategies and business objectives.
- Design and construct Gants for each shutdown with Microsoft project and SAP
- Work alongside contracting parties with SOW packages for Shutdown based activities.
- Ensure Shutdown activities stay in line with the 13 week RTA Shutdown management process.
About You
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in maintenance planning, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in maintenance scheduling within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Proficiency in CMMS tools (e.g., SAP) and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, SAP
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- A commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in Shutdown planning/ Scheduling is highly regarded
