ABOUT THE PROJECT
DCOH has been engaged to deliver the proposed new Civic Centre project, a transformative $150 million development designed to reflect Darwin's cultural heritage and meet its growing needs.

Large Scale, PCA A Grade Project
The $150 million civic centre project offers significant opportunities for hands-on experience in delivering a 21 storey premium PCA A Grade commercial building right in the heart of the city.
Diverse and Multifaceted Scope
The project encompasses a variety of functional spaces, including customer services, council chambers, office areas, and a public plaza, alongside operational elements like carparking and building infrastructure.

WHO YOU ARE
You are an experienced construction professional with the skillset and leadership required for high-performance project delivery.
- Trade or tertiary qualifications relevant to construction or related fields
- Minimum experience as a Site Supervisor or Site Manager on large-scale projects, preferably valued over $100 million
- Strong working knowledge of building regulations, health and safety requirements, and quality assurance processes
- Proactive in overseeing site activities, identifying risks, and implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track
- Skilled in managing site operations, resolving challenges, and maintaining compliance
- Experience coordinating trades, contractors, and resources to ensure seamless site workflow
- Proficient in construction management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office
- Well-organised, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Site Supervisor for the Darwin Civic Centre project, you will play a critical role in managing daily on-site operations and overseeing assigned work packages. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing trades, contractors, and resources to ensure efficient, safe, and timely project delivery
- Monitoring site activities, resolving issues, and maximising site productivity through effective scheduling and supervision
- Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards, building regulations, and project specifications, including coordinating High Risk Workshops (HRWs)
- Serving as a key liaison for subcontractors, consultants, and visitors, maintaining clear communication and fostering a collaborative site culture
- Maintaining accurate site records, monitoring costs, and ensuring documentation accuracy including daily dockets and site diaries
- Leading, supporting, and mentoring site teams to meet project goals while promoting accountability and professional development
- Upholding DCOH’s quality management processes and health and safety commitments while adhering to the Archaeological Management Plan
