The role provides leadership in driving, implementing, advising, monitoring and managing risks and obligations within Westpac's Customer and Corporate Services (CCS) division, supporting the Corporate Services Lines of Business. It is responsible for ensuring the consistent implementation and embedding of risk management frameworks, policies, and controls.
The role also involves partnering with key stakeholders on all risk and control matters, developing practical solutions to risk-related challenges, and supporting their end-to-end implementation through effective stakeholder engagement.
A key expectation of this role is to promote a strong risk culture that reflects the organisation’s ethics and integrity, while appropriately balancing commercial and customer needs.
What do I need?
- 5 –10 years’ experience as a risk management professional, ideally within banking or financial services, with a strong background in risk assessment and material risk policy related to the relevant risk class.
- Proficient in foundational risk management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Background in quality assurance.
- Relevant experience in risk management, legal, or compliance.
