Our multidisciplinary team is made up of 50 staff across Physiotherapy, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Dietetics and Psychology, committed to providing high quality evidence based affordable healthcare, particularly in under serviced regions of Australia.
About the role
The position will form a crucial part of our Mental Health & Wellbeing team. This role would suit an experienced Social Worker with a background in mental health, trauma, youth and family work, domestic violence and counselling.
You will work with individuals, families, and communities to support those experiencing difficulties and help them access the resources they need to live safe, healthy, and empowered lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of service users and develop appropriate care plans
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals and families
- Liaise with other professionals including healthcare workers, teachers, and legal representatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with safeguarding policies
- Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their rights and needs are met
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case reviews
- Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and follow statutory protocols
What We’re Looking For:
- Tertiary qualification within Social Worker field (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent)
- Registration with [Relevant Regulatory Body – e.g. SWE, HCPC, etc.]
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
- Autonomous, strong communication, assessment, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with empathy and professionalism
- Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and safeguarding principles
- Collaborate with services and stakeholders, strengthen interagency partnerships, and deliver flexible outreach support
