About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Worker to be a part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high-quality care to patients/ clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District in order to support management of their health needs and to promote wellness.
As the Social Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive Social Worker service across a range of clinical areas and settings.
- Providing a consultative service in area/s of clinical expertise to clinicians across the district to promote the consistent provision of safe high quality patient centred care.
- Evaluating treatment according to patient/client goal achievement in collaboration with senior clinicians as appropriate, with alterations to intervention/plans made accordingly.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to optimise the health care and wellbeing of each client and their loved ones.
- Lead, complete and share in continuous improvement initiatives, to enhance service delivery and client/patient/consumer outcomes, and participation in clinical research activities as required

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate: - An in-depth understanding and ability to provide social worker services in a curious and empathetic way to families participating in the program.
- Tertiary Qualifications in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)
- High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a large team
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise services where necessary
