About the role:

Reporting to the Allied Health Team Leader - GEM, some of your duties for the role will include:

• Participating in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients
• Collaborating with other team members to initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate therapy/activity groups
• Participating in the interdisciplinary management of patients within the GEM Unit
• Independently assessing clients’ abilities, problems and needs using a variety of formal and informal assessments as needed
• Supervising students allocated to the ambulatory programmes and undertaking teaching activities

About you:

• Demonstrated competence in the application of a wide range of assessment and therapeutic interventions to clients with complex needs
• High level interpersonal and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate with clients and staff at various levels, both orally and in writing
• Experience in the social work management of older people with complex health and care needs
• Ability to contribute to professional education, the training of discipline specific students and to research
