Job Description Summary

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Spatial Data Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our client’s Space Management platform. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of managing spatial data across a diverse building portfolio, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in every square meter.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Deliver specialized knowledge in spatial data management, CAD/CAFM system administration, and space utilization analytics

  • Apply advanced methodologies to generate and evaluate allocation deliverables

Data Integrity & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with client space data standards and build a robust, consistent governance model

  • Control input sources and ensure data consistency across platforms

  • Manage measurement standards and KPIs to enhance data confidence

  • Develop global naming conventions, allocation models, drawing protocols, and reporting standards

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as primary point of contact (SPOC) and system administrator for the client space data management platform

  • Build strong working relationships and guide role/responsibility development with internal and external partners

  • Support peer teams with space, occupancy, and utilization data needs

Operational Excellence & Innovation

  • Monitor execution of space allocation models and ensure compliance with reporting processes

  • Drive system integration efforts to improve spatial and occupancy data quality

  • Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency, cost savings, and service enhancement

  • Provide user training and support for the space data system

  • Champion innovative practices and connect platform capabilities to industry best standards

Space Planning & FF&E Coaching

  • Advise and mentor team leaders in space planning and furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) strategies

  • Ensure delivery consistency across expansion, relocation, consolidation, and refresh projects

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in Architectural Technology, Space Planning, Space Data Management, Data Analytics or Occupancy Planning

  • 4 to 8 years’ experience in a corporate real estate environment.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in architectural and engineering drawings, concepts & design

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite software applications

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services

  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills

  • Assuming ownership of requests in order to ensure successful completion

  • Strong attention to detail and quality with ability to handle concurrent projects with minimal supervision and direction

Required Qualifications

  • Australian citizenship is required

  • Must hold a baseline clearance or be willing to obtain a security clearance

  • Canberra-based applicants preferred, though candidates from other states will be considered if open to relocation
