About the Role
Love what you do and leave your mark- Guide, coach and inspire Dan Murphy’s operational leadership teams across NSW & ACT
- Based in Sydney - 80+ stores, 1700+ team
As the State Manager, you will be a member of the national leadership team responsible for delivery of the Dan Murphy’s strategy through leading, coaching and motivating our NSW and ACT leadership team and store leaders.
People are at the forefront of our business and your exceptional leadership, commercial acumen and guidance will support development of our team, foster engagement and inspire ways to evolve and improve.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:
- Contribution to Dan Murphy’s strategy and cascade within NSW & ACT
- Deliver commercial results in line with budget and forecast expectations
- Drive balanced scorecard results across the state including Voice Of Customer, Voice Of Team, safety and compliance
- Lead and inspire a team of Area Managers
- Develop and build capability within the state leadership and store teams
- Drive customer-led decisions and actions throughout the state
- Set and deliver high standards of operational excellence and exceptional customer experience Actively collaborate across teams to deliver outcomes for the state and nationally

Ideally, you will be pragmatic, adaptable and thrive in rapidly changing landscapes and can demonstrate considerable experience in the following key areas:
- Commercial delivery at a senior level, in a multi site customer driven business
- Understand the importance of exceptional leadership in a multi site world
- Inspiring leadership and commitment to building highly engaged teams
- Cross functional understanding and ability to collaborate effectively in a complex, fast paced business
- Strong collaboration, influencing and relationship building skills
- Experience creating a culture of trust, inclusion and collaboration
- A strategic, innovative growth mindset Flexibility to travel as required in the role
