Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Set the strategic agenda for ANZ BU
- Lead 3-5 year planning and Strategic Deep Dives and Board presentations
- Lead ANZ Strategic Projects to unlock growth
- Lead Ad-hoc projects, incl M&A, Scenario Planning and Whitespace analysis
- Operationalize Strategic Focus Initiatives (cross-functional, multi-year, high-impact) : Set up, Coordination and Governance
- Provide insights and structured problem solving methodology for the business’ most critical projects
- Provide strategic decision making support to CEO, CFO and ELT
- Proactively partner with key ELT stakeholders to initiate, drive and optimize Strategic Focus Initiatives (g. eComm, Whitespace Expansion, Future-proofing the Portfolio, etc.)
- Build and annually refresh ANZ’s 3-5 year strategic roadmap in close collaboration with CEO, CFO and ELT; present and gain sign-off from Region
- Lead and coordinate the cross-functional development of new strategic and transformational initiatives, for example Digital Strategy, Imports/Exports, Portfolio Strategy and Whitespace analysis
- Structure ANZ’s thinking for Strategic Expansion
- Represent ANZ Strategy at Region level, e.g. refreshing PepsiCo’s Growth Model
- Democratize Strategy by conducting Strategy trainings and workshops, and promote strategic thinking/tools across the org
Qualifications
About you:
- Excellent strategic problem solving and structuring skills, ability to problem solve and identify root causes and solutions across all parts of the organization
- Proven ability to operationalize strategy at all levels
- Excellent communication (written and oral) skills and a successful track record in liaising with key stakeholders
- An ability to think laterally, challenge the accepted norms and to continually look at driving positive change and improvements
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Ability to influence employees and managers at all levels of the organisation and across different regions/Sectors
- Experience in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Project Strategy and M&A Strategy
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- At least 8-10 years working experience focusing on strategy and BD; Top consultancy background preferred;
- MBA preferred but not compulsory
