Role Purpose
As a Structural Landscaper, you will support the delivery of high-quality landscaping projects that align with Byron Bay Ranga’s Vision and Values. You will be responsible for carrying out both hard and soft landscaping tasks, ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
This role is hands-on and suited to someone with strong landscaping skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors in a team environment.
Key Objectives
- Complete structural and soft landscaping tasks to a professional standard
- Support the successful delivery of project milestones
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out hard landscaping tasks such as paving, decking, retaining walls, concreting, and structural timber work
- Assist with soft landscaping including planting, turf laying, mulching, soil preparation, and irrigation installation
- Read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, and scopes of work
- Operate hand tools and machinery relevant to the landscaping trade
- Load, unload, and move materials around the site efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
Site Support & Compliance
- Follow site safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Conduct tasks in line with WHS standards and company policies
- Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses to the Team Leader immediately
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of tools and machinery
- Assist with setup and pack-down of job sites daily
Environmental Awareness
- Follow sustainable practices in all landscaping works
- Assist in assessing environmental impacts on-site where required
- Work with natural ecosystems and contribute to biodiversity efforts where applicable
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks
- Quality of workmanship across landscaping projects
- Compliance with safety and operational procedures

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- 2–3 years of experience in landscaping, including both hard and soft landscaping
- Certificate III in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of tools, equipment, and machinery used in landscaping
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to interpret landscaping plans and execute accordingly
- Full Driver’s Licence
- White Card
- Knowledge of WHS practices and safe site conduct
- Strong physical fitness and willingness to work in varied weather conditions
Desirable:
- Experience operating machinery such as excavators, with relevant licences
- Familiarity with native plants, local ecosystems, and water-sensitive landscaping
- Basic First Aid knowledge
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
