Join Goodstart Early Learning as a Subpoena Clerk / Legal Administration Assistant and gain hands-on experience working directly with our in-house Legal Department. In this role, you’ll liaise with centres, courts, government, and external law firms while supporting our General Counsel and experienced lawyers.

Your Impact:
As a Subpoena Clerk / Legal Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring Goodstart meets its legal obligations with professionalism and care. You’ll be the first point of contact for subpoenas, coordinating with centres, law firms, courts, and government departments to provide accurate and timely responses. By supporting our General Counsel and in-house Legal team with legal research and administration, you’ll help safeguard Goodstart while strengthening your own legal knowledge and skills.

You’ll bring to the table:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws degree in Australia, with at least 2 years of study successfully completed
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders
Previous experience in a service industry demonstrating professionalism, customer focus, and attention to detail
Highly regarded: prior experience in a law firm, government legal office, or not-for-profit legal setting
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
Ability to conduct legal research and prepare accurate documentation
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with legal and administrative systems
A proactive team player with integrity, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning
