About the Role
As the Superintendent Contractor Management, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership to a team of specialists who assist, co-ordinate and maintain the compliance and performance of contracts whilst seeking operational and commercial efficiencies.
Through your collaboration across all Asset departments, you will provide expertise in contractor management and apply a continuous improvement mindset which ultimately will optimise contractor management for Copper SA.
This is an Adelaide based position operating on a 5/2 roster arrangement with some occasional site travel required.
In this role you will:
- Provide contractor management advisory services for and as a representative of Copper SA
- Provide effective commercial governance and compliance, ensuring all standards and procedures are adhered to through assurance and verification including site visits, audits and contract meetings
- Develop or contribute to contract strategy & management processes
- Lead Quality Circle meetings & forums, ensuring feedback is collated from all end users and actioned as required.
- Actively manage contractor performance & the health of the company's contracting arrangements;
- Support tender processes in an operational context;
- Provide strategic direction related to effective Contract Leadership, including benchmarking internally & externally identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
- Adhere to and demonstrate BHP Charter Values, operating discipline and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strive to support the elimination of injuries and incidents in the workplace by proactively managing contractor safety initiatives and champion field leadership and associated activities
- Undertake the role of IMS 11.1 Champion and Critical Control Owner for Psychosocial Harm Contractor Management
- Assist with all Audits undertaken relating to contractor management
- Deliver and lead strategic projects and initiatives
About You
- Demonstrated experience with contractor management with previous contract ownership / contract administration experience
- Contractor Management experience
- Excellent communication & presentation skills to a broad range audience, including large groups of personnel to leadership members and/or contract groups
- Analytical problem solver who demonstrates business acumen, with the ability to focus and prioritise critical deliverables to provide timely insights to stakeholders though the use of quality data and data analytics
- Significant stakeholder engagement to foster collaborative working relationships across our teams where you will apply critical thinking to the development while having the ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and organisational levels to create buy-in and influence outcomes
- Performance and achievement oriented who is motivated by exceeding expectations through delivering excellent results
- Demonstrated experience with delivering strategic projects
