Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

About the role
In this pivotal role, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership and support to a team of Information Sharing Assessment Officers and Information Sharing Officers. The Team Leader - Supervising Registrar provides an escalation point and provides support and guidance on information sharing process and
practices in line with relevant protocols, ministerial guidelines and the legislative requirements of the:
  • Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme
  • Child Information Sharing Scheme
  • Information Sharing Protocol between Courts and DFFH Child Protection
  • Information Sharing Protocol between Courts and the Family and Federal Courts of Australia; and
  • National Strategic Framework for Information Sharing between the Family Law Court and family violence and child protection systems

About you
You will be a highly effective communicator (both verbal and written) and possess sound understanding of the nature and dynamics of family violence and the operation of the family violence jurisdiction within the Magistrates Court of Victoria. Your other strengths will include:
  • Certificate IV in Government (Court Services) and/or relevant qualification in family violence or another field would be highly regarded
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player
  • Commitment to delivering quality services
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience within a complex and sensitive environment, with a focus on development of individual and team capabilities
