The role is to provide individual support to people who have a disability, providing support to enable all participants to be part of the community, engage with others, and undertake all aspects of daily living. You will be part of a growing dynamic team delivering care to our clients in the participant’s own home or shared accommodation or providing support to participants who would like to participate in activities in the community.
Participant sometimes smokes cigarettes.

Supporting people to remain living independently in their own home means that the

- Personal Care, medication assistance, activities of daily living, Domestic duties
- Working with and supporting a person with a disability and providing support, even if resistance is a barrier for support.
- Treating everyone with respect, being polite, listen and support to enable goals to be achieved.
- Working in accordance with organisational policies and procedures to maintain professional boundaries.
- Positive communication and reinforcement when working with participants.
Your Qualifications:
- Cert III in Disability Support, or equivalent
- Previous experience is desirable not essential as training provided.
- Valid QLD driver licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker screening check (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain)
- Flu Vaccination
- Full Covid Vaccination proof required
- Be organised, flexible and reliable
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Current Police check
- Medication administration certificate
- Fire training certificate
- Manual Handling certificate
