Job Description
Reporting to the Surface Infrastructure Superintendent, the Surface Electrical Coordinator is responsible for leading a team of surface electrical personnel to complete statutory and general work orders on the mine.
- Coordinate and lead a team to ensure Work Order compliance weekly and yearly including planning and execution.
- Ensure projects are completed to time and budget, and to high quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership for the surface electrical maintenance department.
- Plan for the electrical equipment and systems to operate in demanding conditions at the mine site.
- Assist the Surface Infrastructure Superintendent by planning and providing engineering support for the production section
- Installation, design, construction and commissioning electrical equipment and systems.
- installing, testing, maintaining, repairing, and reporting on all electrical equipment used at the mine.
- Provide trouble-shooting support to improve operational efficiencies.
- Work cooperatively with other departments, project managers, supply chain and mine management to optimize production, reduce costs, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Current Electrical License or Electrical tertiary qualification
- Electrical and Underground Mining Trade experience (advantageous)
- S11, S123 and G2
- Demonstrated experience in delivering key projects
- Display ability to be able to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization
- Project management skills to ensure the overhaul is delivered to scope, on time and within budget
- Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems
- An intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office suite of program
