We have an enticing Survey Technician opening awaiting you at our Thunderbox Operations. This role offers a long-term career opportunity within our esteemed Technical Services function. If you are looking to contribute to a dynamic team while advancing your Surveying career, we want to hear from you.
Roster will be 8 days on 6 days off and travelling in and out of Perth.
What you can look forward to:
Support the Mine Surveyors with:
- Drill & blast ring markups.
- Stope Drone and CMS surveys.
- Mine heading design and pickup surveys.
- All the associated software processing with the above-mentioned tasks.
- Maintain the Survey Vehicles - daily prestart & washing of vehicles.
- Maintain the Survey Stores area.
- Maintain and Clean Survey Equipment.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Expertise & Accomplishment
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying (desirable, not a requirement)
- Experience using CAD software or exposure to mining, working in high risk environment around heavy machinery (desirable)
- Methodical, analytical mind set, and the ability to identify errors, hardworking and works well in a team environment.
- Quick to pick up new software and enjoys a balance between working in the office and the physical side of day-to-day work.
- Class C Driver's license.
- Computer Literacy – MS Office, Excel etc.
