A bit about the role:
The role of a Survey Trainee is interesting, varied and provides staff with hands on experience and a broad understanding across all aspects of survey and design in local government. A major part of this role involves learning about how to create a digital model of the real world.
In a trainee, we look for:
- Someone that enjoys engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- A level of fitness to undertake manual activities
- Dedication and reliability
- A thirst for knowledge
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
What you can learn:
- How to operate a variety of survey equipment - dumpty levels, total stations & GPS
- Preparing plans of your surveys using computer programs
- Assist with survey set out for construction projects
- Understanding of WHS and PPE requirements
- How to manage your time and priorities

A Survey Traineeship is full time employment for two and a half (2.5) years, and the proposed study will be a Certificate IV in Civil Construction Design.
