Position Summary
We are looking for a Sustainability Analyst to support our organisation’s environmental and social responsibility goals by collecting, analysing, and reporting sustainability data and documentation. This role focuses on carbon accounting, product and supply chain sustainability, material claim certification, and documentation tracking to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal sustainability targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key sustainability performance indicators
- Prepare sustainability reports aligned with external frameworks
- Measure and track greenhouse gas emissions footprint and reduction initiatives (gather and cleanse data, use Greenhouse Gas accounting software)
- Manage product and material claim (e.g., recycled, organic) evidence collection and verification databases
- Maintain Supplier Database including data updates and reporting
- Use systems to request, upload and manage supplier and product information
- Support Sustainability team to deliver insights in presentations and reports
- Maintain a safe workspace, and abide by all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with all R.M. Williams policies, principles, and procedures
- Other duties as directed
- 2+ years’ experience in a quantitative analyst capacity (e.g. Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Sustainability Reporting Specialist)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strategic, systems-oriented mindset
- Inquisitive approach, with the ability to explore diverse data sources and connect insights across business functions
- Skilled in processing and analysing large data sets to identify key trends and insights
- Advanced Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferable Criteria
- Familiarity with sustainability concepts and carbon accounting
- Experience in product compliance and sustainability certifications
- Experience of apparel & footwear and/or retail industry
