The Opportunity
At Shine, we're your calling to right wrong. And as a full-time, permanent Talent Acquisition Advisor based in our hybrid Brisbane CBD head office team, that starts with you.
Reporting to our Talent Acquisition Manager, you’ll be part of a small but mighty national recruitment team, who provide an exceptional recruitment experience to stakeholders and candidates for our 42+ offices across Australia, while Shine grows from strength to strength.
In this national role, you'll truly own your internal client relationships, while delivering on their recruitment needs. You'll have the best of both worlds - a supportive team, and loads of autonomy.
While you’ll primarily focus on end-to-end recruitment across both legal professional and legal support roles, you’ll also be involved in a variety of talent acquisition initiatives, including our graduate and clerkship program recruitment, DEI initiatives, emerging technology, and continuous improvement projects. Your commitment to service standards, and your strong sense of urgency, will see you thrive in this busy environment, providing timely outcomes, and keeping your stakeholders engaged and informed throughout the process.
Your humble, friendly nature will fit right into our team, as will a positive attitude, an ability to deliver under pressure, and a service-focussed, team-oriented outlook. And you’ll be visible and valued for who you are, and what you bring.
Here’s how you’ll help us stay ahead of the pack:
- Conduct end to end recruitment for legal professional and legal support roles across your client group in a high-volume capacity, positioning Shine to the market as an employer of choice.
- Advise and drive positive talent acquisition outcomes with hiring managers for their teams.
- Provide guidance on sourcing strategies, market updates, and candidate drivers.
- Regularly conduct talent searches for passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter & Seek Premium Talent Search, starting a connection with the brand and with managers if appropriate.
- Develop, maintain and use pipelines of quality internal and external candidates.
- Embrace and utilise supporting technology and systems, including our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and other software, social media, and recruitment reporting in Excel.
- Assist in onboarding initiatives and continued candidate care techniques to aid retention.
- Prepare and issue new starter documentation.
- Demonstrated success in previous end-to-end recruitment roles, across a variety of role types (experience in legal recruitment is not essential for success).
- A strong focus on stakeholder servicing, driven by providing a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Exposure to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to maintain attention to detail, even when working to a deadline.
- The ability to think differently, by approaching problems with creativity, challenging convential assumptions and exploring innovative solutions.
- Adept at multitasking, able to manage and prioritise multiple stakeholders, requests and initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail, with exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Strong technological skills with the ability to learn new systems, software and programs quickly, and an aptitude for emerging tech.
- A team focused mentality and an ability to work effectively within a small team.
- We encourage applications from both candidates with internal recruitment experience, and those with agency recruitment backgrounds.
At Shine, purpose really matters.
- It’s our clients, who summon the courage to stand up to injustice.
- It’s the communities we are part of and support every day.
- It’s our team, who champion what’s right and make this place what it is.
Here are some of the things we hope you’ll love about working with us:
- Connect and be you: Get the flexibility and benefits you need, and work with truly authentic people. And you can enjoy the security of a large, well-established firm that treats you as a person, not a number.
- Challenge and be challenged: We’re not here for “easy”. We want you to take your place at Shine and make a real impact. Question and challenge - that’s how we grow.
- Achieve and grow: Start your Shine journey with our in-house learning programs, where you’ll find immediate connection and be set up for success. You will be provided real opportunities to step up and grow - within your role and beyond.
Excited to join us and stand up to injustice? Join us and build a career that means so much more.
