Position Information
Nangamay Public School is a new school that opened in January 2023 and has a current enrolment of 420 students. The school has 9 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 38% EAL/D with classes in kindergarten through to Year 6 and three M.C. classes.
Nangamay PS is built to meet the need of existing and future enrolment growth in the neighbouring emerging suburbs across the Glenmore Park/Mulgoa area. Housed in brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities, Nangamay PS has a strong focus on high-quality future-focused learning with a commitment to excellence and achievement in all areas of education which shapes learning experiences that are authentic, challenging, and participatory. The school is supported by strong community connection and is part of the Yarramundi AECG.
Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Infants and Primary with demonstrated excellence in future focussed classroom teaching practice and an emphasis on differentiated literacy and numeracy programs.
2. Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills, committed to building positive, collaborative partnerships with staff, students, families and the broader community.
3. Outstanding organisational skills to actively contribute to a learning culture of collaboration, data analysis, reflective practice and high expectations to improve student learning outcomes.
4. Willingness and capacity to support whole school programs such as Sport, Dance, Music and I.C.T.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
