COLAC DRY MILL LEADING HAND – WRAP & STRAP (DAY SHIFT)


We have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate with strong technical ability and motivation, to provide leadership and ensure our high-quality standards are maintained as the Leading Hand in the Wrap & Strap area of the Dry Mill Colac.

The role of Dry Mill Leading Hand is to contribute to the overall success of the business by focusing on quality, training and rotation of employees in our Dry Mill facility on day shift.

Based in the Colac Dry Mill on day shift, the successful candidate must have a strong commitment to people, safety and a focus and passion for continuous improvement.


The Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Supervisor in providing leadership across the department
  • Employee training, development and management
  • Assisting in the day-to-day production in the mill
  • Ensure production targets are met, including reporting
  • Monitoring and leading Health, Safety and Wellbeing processes and procedures

Abilities and skills required:

  • Drive to learn and development new skills
  • Able to understand and implement high-level technical information
  • Knowledge of health & safety principles as they relate to a workplace
  • Able to work methodically and strictly adhere to a procedure
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate others
