Position Overview
As a Team Leader within the Open Space team, you will be the driving force behind our open space maintenance efforts. Your hands-on leadership will ensure that our dedicated team delivers high quality maintenance services across the Shire, all while adhering to safety standards and best practises. In this role you will oversee various parks operations, including bush reserve maintenance, garden care, and turf management. Your expertise will guide your team as they work efficiently and effectively to meet the diverse needs of our community.
Your Ideal Profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who is ready to take on the challenge of managing a team in our parks and natural areas. If you possess the following qualifications and experience, we encourage you to apply:
- Certificate 3 in Horticulture (or equivalent), White Card, AQF3 / Chemcert (or equivalent), and a MR driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement)
- Relevant experience in a similar supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of horticultural practises, safety regulations, and customer service
- Excellent communication and people skills for effective collaboration with team members and the community

- Package: $78,717 - $85,798 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. (Salary will be paid based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate).
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight.
