YOUR NEW ROLE
This position is responsible for the leadership and operations of the Theatre and Precinct Duty team in the Corporate Services, Technology portfolio.
Theatre & Precinct Duty carries out all operational and show support tasks for both internal and external stakeholders. It provides a supporting role in all production disciplines including staging, lighting, sound, audio visual, technology and record and broadcast while also delivering small scale events independently. The team is the first level support provider for these disciplines, escalating to the Theatre & Precinct Supervisors when appropriate.
This role provides expert technical and logistical leadership. It ensures T&P duty services are delivered in a safe and efficient way and that our equipment and workforce can realise the technical vision of our hirers and presenting partners and develop customer-focused systems and standards that enable performers to achieve excellence.
The Lead role is responsible for the development and guidance of the T&P duty technicians, ensuring they are supported, mentored and developed to achieve their individual outcomes. The role supports the Head of Infrastructure and Theatre Technology by providing accurate, timely and meaningful advice to support the broader objectives of the Technology Infrastructure team.

ARE YOU THE ONE?
You might be the right fit if you have:
Minimum five years demonstrated high-level production experience, with a variety of clients across various art forms and event types.A broad and deep knowledge of technology used in a live production environment, particularly around signal transport.
Proven capacity to self-direct and make decisions, incorporating excellent organisational, strategic and analytical skills.
Demonstrated expertise in leading and building teams including formal training, development plans, performance management, risk management and rostering.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in conflict management.
Proven ability to work under pressure including demonstrated sound decision making and crisis management skills.
A thorough knowledge of the theatrical process and sensitivity for working artists.
Ability to work well in a flexible work environment as part of a leadership team.
