Join our Team as a Therapy Assistant at Bethanie Waters, Port Kennedy!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of ageing Australians? Bethanie, a leading not-for-profit aged care provider in Western Australia, has been empowering seniors for over 70 years. We believe in recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.
About the Role:
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Therapy Assistant to join our team at Bethanie Waters in Port Kennedy, on a casual basis. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Waters is one of our larger sites with 160 beds, providing 24-hour care, including support for those with high care needs and dementia. You will play a crucial role in implementing therapy and lifestyle programs, adapting activities to residents’ levels of function, and addressing their physical and psychological needs.
Shifts are currently available on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday; however, this may change.
What We Offer:
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum + up to $2,650 for meals and entertainment. This allows you to pay for your expenses with money from your salary before tax is taken out, increasing your take-home pay.
- Supportive culture that fosters a rewarding career.
- Discounts on everyday purchases from leading brands for groceries, clothing, travel, household appliances, and entertainment.
- Comprehensive mental health and wellbeing program and free flu vaccinations each year.
- Professional development and training opportunities to help you grow in your career.
- Flexibility and work-life balance to ensure you can manage your personal and professional life effectively.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, and able to support and cultivate our residents’ strengths and interests. You should be able to work autonomously, facilitate individual and group therapy sessions independently, and use your initiative and creative thinking to ensure sessions run smoothly.

- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in aged care or healthcare
