Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
TRAINEE CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (Permanent Term appointment – 2 years)
The purpose of the Trainee Customer Service officer is to assist the Customer Service Team who are the frontline customer engagement point, working in a team environment to provide efficient, responsive and courteous customer service across a range of Council’s functions ensuring a positive customer service experience is provided to a diverse range of people.
This entry-level, Pathways 2680 traineeship is open to individuals from all backgrounds, not just recent school leavers, and is ideal for someone highly motivated, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about gaining on-the-job experience. As a trainee, you will work towards a nationally accredited qualification while acquiring practical knowledge and skills to set you up for success in the industry.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Salary $803.30 per week plus superannuation. Award increase applicable from July 2025. Remuneration offered will be in accordance with clause 32C wage rates of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
