Venue Manager – Elster Elsternwick
We're on the hunt for a passionate and experienced Venue Manager to lead the team at Elster, a vibrant and much-loved café in the heart of Elsternwick.
As Venue Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind daily operations, team culture, and customer experience. This is a hands-on role that requires a confident leader with a sharp eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a love for creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar managerial role
- A people-first approach to team leadership and customer service
- Proven ability to manage rosters, stock, and budgets
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A calm, confident presence in a fast-paced setting
- Barista experience is a plus
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and key trading days (e.g. Mother's Day, Christmas Eve, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the front-of-house team
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Drive staff training, development, and retention
- Maintain a high standard of quality, cleanliness, and presentation
- Collaborate with owners on targets, promotions, and improvements
