Nepean Hospital is seeking a reliable Relieving Ward Clerk to join our Patient Services Unit Team in a part-time capacity. In this essential role, you will provide ward-based clerical support across various hospital units, covering planned and unplanned leave.
This position is a great opportunity for an organised and motivated individual who enjoys working in diverse clinical settings and thrives on variety in their day-to-day tasks. You will be adaptable, efficient and committed to excellent service with excellent communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work flexibly across different wards and adapt quickly to new environments and a strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Your key reponsibilitites will be to deliver frontline reception and administrative support to hospital wards, maintain file patient medical records in line with NSW Health policies and answer internal and external phone enquiries professionally and promptly.

What you will bring to the role:
- Demonstrated extensive administrative knowledge and experience, including reception experience
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, co-ordinate and time manage daily tasks in a busy and demanding environment
- Demonstrated experience using Windows based software including databases and experience in using MS Word and Excel with proven typing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability and commitment to work a seven-day (7) rotating roster including day, afternoon, night shifts and weekends and be adaptable to workplace change
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and privacy including ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
