Join Us as a Ward Clerk – Be the Friendly and Organised Face of Our Medical Ward
Are you organised, approachable, and committed to providing excellent customer service? We’re looking for a motivated Ward Clerk to join our Medical Ward, which includes Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal Inpatient Beds, at Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service. In this vital front-line role, you’ll help ensure our ward runs smoothly while supporting patients, visitors, and staff in a warm and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous, confidential, and efficient administrative and customer service support in person and over the phone.
- Maintain accurate, computerised medical records to support quality patient care.
- Assist in coordinating ward operations and communication between staff, patients, and visitors.
- Uphold a welcoming and professional environment for all who enter the ward.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in the provision of a confidential, efficient and effective administrative service.
- Proven experience in dealing with customers.
- Proven experience in dealing with conflict situations.
- Proven experience in using a computer and keyboard.
